Kai Neubauer

Hello world! I am a PhD student in the Machine Learning Group at Leuphana University, supervised by Prof. Ulf Brefeld. My research focuses on machine learning problems in educational applications, such as adaptive learning and adaptive testing. Technically, I am interested in deep learning and variational Bayesian methods such as Expectation Propagation.

I am currently working on the ALEE research project, which explores adaptive learning for economics in German schools. Having developed an initial prototype that employs online machine learning approaches for knowledge tracing and instructional policy, we are now working on refining the overall adaptive learning platform.

Feel free to email me or connect with me on LinkedIn.
